What it Means to be a REALTOR

A REALTOR is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS (NAR) and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics. As a member of NAR, and as a licensed REALTOR, I am uniquely qualified to assist you with your next real estate transaction.

Code of Ethics

The Code establishes time-honored and baseline principles that come from the collective experiences of REALTORS® since the Code of Ethics was first established in 1913. Those principles can be loosely defined as:

- Loyalty to clients

- Fiduciary (legal) duty to clients

- Cooperation with competitors

- Truthfulness in statements and advertising; and non-interference in exclusive relationships that other REALTORS® have with their clients.

It is critically important that you have true representation in any real estate transaction. Prudent buyers and sellers do not take this lightly, they always leverage a professional real estate sales associate when buying, selling, leasing, or managing real property.

Designations

To earn a designation, a REALTOR® a real estate agent has taken coursework and demonstrated specific skills, performance and knowledge in a particular area of the real estate industry

Background & Personal Commitment

I am proud to say that I am truly a southwest Michigan native. I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, and was fortunate to get acquainted with the real estate industry very early in life. My grandfather and father were both custom home builders, and I was swinging a hammer before the age of 10. I helped them both construct several new homes while I was in high school and attending college at Western Michigan University (WMU). After graduating from WMU in 1986, I was able to put my education in finance and economics to use, and joined a small local bank. My career in banking started in 1986, and lead me through several mergers and acquisitions, until I was a regional sales manager for one of the nation's top mortgage lenders. In this role, I was able to craft my sales and leadership skills, and further extend my expertise in the real estate business. I am proud to say that my 32 year career in mortgage banking helped 1000's of buyers secure their dream home.

Now, I am ready to help you. Whether you are looking to buy or sell a home, commercial property, or any other form of real estate, I am available to help you find the right property. I am also available to assist with home value assessments, relocation, and property management. You have my personal commitment to superior service, and to help you truly understand every aspect of your next real estate transaction.

Interests & Hobbies

I love "pure Michigan", and everything related to outdoor activities; biking, hiking, camping, paddling, fishing, hunting, and more ! We are so fortunate to have a vast playground for these interests around us. I am also active in the community, and participate in several local events each year.
